Job 26:2
King James Version
2 How hast thou helped him that is without power?
how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
The loveliest thing being born again is seeing as JESUS does.
To see who needs help, who are infirm, who are sad, or grieving.
To be alert to their needs.
To see the "forgotten"; the "marginalized".
And to help them, as JESUS would want you to help them.
To speak words of comfort to their soul.
To ease their pain.
To give hope to their hearts.
To share His WORD with them
That's the best job of all.
JESUS was always with the sad, sick, and sinful --but soulful.
The true born again delights in serving others, as he serves the LORD.
That is the true path of a born again.
Not in accumulating wealth, fame, or power.
Serving JESUS means you serve the very "least".
Those whose cries are least heard, because the enemy tries to drown it.
What we do unto others, we've done it unto CHRIST:
Matthew 25:40
King James Version
40 And the King shall answer
and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it
unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me.
Here are some verses to encourage us to support the weak:
Psalm 82:3
King James Version
3 Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psalm 82:4
King James Version
4 Deliver the poor and needy:
rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Isaiah 35:3-5
King James Version
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands,
and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart,
Be strong, fear not:
behold,
your God will come with vengeance,
even God with a recompence;
he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Zechariah 7:10
King James Version
10 And oppress not the widow,
nor the fatherless,
the stranger,
nor the poor;
and let none of you imagine evil
against his brother in your heart.
John 13:34
King James Version
34 A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
Acts 20:35
King James Version
35 I have shewed you all things,
how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak,
and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus,
how he said,
It is more blessed to give
than to receive.
1 Thessalonians 5:14
King James Version
14 Now we exhort you, brethren,
warn them that are unruly,
comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak,
be patient toward all men.
1 Peter 3:7
King James Version
7 Likewise, ye husbands,
dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honour unto the wife,
as unto the weaker vessel,
and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.
1 Peter 3:8-9
King James Version
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind,
having compassion one of another,
love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:
but contrariwise blessing;
knowing that ye are thereunto called,
that ye should inherit a blessing.
Be of the right mind, and heart.
Do as JESUS does:
Psalm 34:17-19
King James Version
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them
that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Matthew 11:28-29
King James Version
28 Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
